Comment below explaining where and why you chose to settle in this region of the colonies. What are important ideas and products that you need to survive?
My group chose the New England colonies because of the climate and resources. In the New England colonies there are many trees which means animals that supply fur for our products. (This also means meat for the colonists) More than half of the settlers died in the first winter because of disease and weather. A fur business in New England would thrive.
My group is deciding to make our headquarters in the middle colonies. The soil there is very fertile, which is good because we need to grow trees. There were many religions, making it hard for one religion to overtake the others. Every colony needed freshwater, so we are going to try it in the middle colonies, and if our freshwater business is successful, we will export to the other colonies. The middle colonies' soil resulted in their nickname, the Bread Basket Colonies. We need that rich soil for trees.
